Janice obtained her Master’s Degree in Education Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Alberta where she also received her undergraduate’s degree in Secondary Education focusing on Business Systems.
Before coming to the Centre of Excellence Janice worked in the public education system for 20 years, first as a teacher and then as a School Administrator. Her work experience also includes four years as the Executive Director of the Fort St John Hospital Foundation. These previous experiences included extensive work in strategic planning, financial management, data-driven dialogue and school improvement, and most importantly, working directly with people to help meet their goals.
As the Director of Operations for the Centre of Excellence, Janice is heavily involved in the Education and Training program, customer relations, the Certification of technology to the new CSA B128.3 Standard for the performance of non-potable water reuse systems, OH&S, and human resource management.
Investing in people is the best investment that we will ever make. Providing opportunities for people to expand their knowledge base and to apply their learning for improved job performance and outcomes is very exciting. My role at the Centre is always interesting, every changing and very rewarding.
