Understanding Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) is an essential skill for Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators and Wastewater Collections Operators. In fact, it is a fundamental skill in a variety of operations in many industries.  

Upon completion of this course participants will be able to:

  • Identify symbols and function labels commonly found on P&IDs;
  • Describe how system components are related; and
  • Trace process stream flow and control loop functions.

Location:  EPCOR's Gold Bar Wastewater Treatment Plant at the Centre of Excellence Building.  10977 - 50 Street, NW, Edmonton, Alberta. 

PARKING:  Course attendees are required to park in Gold Bar Park and walk into the plant, stopping to register with the Security Guard at the ATCO trailer situated at the East Gate who will issue you a visitor pass. 

Signs will be posted at the turn into Gold Bar Park and inside the parking area.
