Nasibeh (Nasim) Mahoor brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in analytical chemistry
to the EWMCE. She holds a B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Babolsar, Iran and a
M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry from the Islamic Azad University, Science and Research Branch, Tehran, Iran.
Nasim has over five years of experience in environmental laboratories. She has been involved
in a broad range of toxicity, microbiology, and chemistry projects and has planned, developed,
and executed multiple experiments including biochemical and inorganic tests in accordance with
GLP and Standard guidelines.
As a member of the EWMCE’s team, Nasim is responsible for performing a variety of laboratory
tests in both wastewater and solid waste under EWMCE’s ISO 17025 compliance and ISO
17065 Accreditation; such tests include respirometry, biomethane potential, and stability. As
part of the Certification team, she is a key member for conducting all laboratory testing services for the CSA B128.3 performance of non-potable water reuse treatment systems under 10,000 L.
Nasim has been actively working on various wastewater and solid waste projects that includes
process optimization and method development. Her work allows her the opportunity to be
hands-on with the analytical instruments in addition to analyzing the data to ensure our clients
understand the potential of new processes or technology. For the performance of non-potable
water reuse system, Nasim is keen to develop new technologies and methods that will enhance the treatment of waste and encourage environmental sustainability.
